International Women's Day
History of International Women's Day
Welcome to TCD’s Annual International Women's Day - As I, Manisha, watched Kamala Harris make history as the first female, Black, and Asian American Vice President of the United States, I thought about her story of many firsts, her upbringing, and her relationship with her family. Her story has become as integral to her narrative as her professional accomplishments. This interweaving is important as it is our life experiences that shape our distinct voice, lens, and drive to make an impact. It is easy, and unfortunately common, to overlook or take for granted the parts of our story that don't feel directly connected to our “professional credibility” when often, it is those parts that are our strongest contributors. It is often the vulnerable, hard-earned parts of our story that prime us for the next step in our journey. As we come through a time marked by relentless challenges and constant change, let your story and others' stories serve as a balm to foster connection and genuine belonging.
To a year of deeper connection,
Manisha

Today's Update
Hey Woman, what’s your color story? “Can we celebrate you?” is the theme for our International Women’s Day (IWD) events & retreats with emphasis on self care, wellness, & support. IWD is celebrated in all TCD locations. We have created local IWD events in New York, New Jersey, Tampa, Miami, Syracuse, Hamptons, Arizona, etc. TCD & local brand ambassadors jointly select a venue suitable to the location for IWD events & retreats. 12-15 well known guests are gathered in attendance over brunch, lunch, high tea, happy hour, or dinner for an intimate soirée. 3 keynotes are invited for this event to display topics on self care ,wellness, & support. 1 VIP woman is carefully selected to every local event & retreats for a coronation ceremony. It’s an honor of a mayoral proclamation for her outstanding contribution. Esteemed local leaders, small business owners, women of impact, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits attend over 2/3 hours.
